SINGAPORE BABY!

After 12,5 hours on board a plane, I feel like I'm floating, and I don't really understand why. Singapore Airlines was fantastic, no wonder they are the best airline in the world. I'm not sure how this jetlag thing is working out for me yet, but I'll get back to that later. Anyway, this was the first letter home from my Asia walkabout! Stay tuned for more mindblowing posts ;)

2 days left

So... I had my last day of school in Volda last Wednesday, and I thought that I had like 5 or 6 days in Ålesund to prepare my departure and say goodbye to people and stuff.. But no, I had three days. Today, tomorrow and Sat. I started packing yesterday, and found out I just had to toss everything I could possibly imagine I would ever need in Oz into a large box, and today I'm gonna pick out some stuff that I don't think I need after all. And then I'll repeat that procedure tomorrow and Sat before I leave. I mean, what can't I buy in Australia? Winter clothes. But do I need them? Nooo, cause I'll be lying by the pool for most of the time, and then I'll just need a teeny weeny bikini :D

We were gonna stay in a mediocre place for the first couple of days in Brisbane, but it turns out we were moved to a bit more luxurious place, and to be honest I don't loathe that fact ;D Just look at that pool!!

Mari and the redberries

Mari and I went out in the garden yesterday and picked redberries for dessert. That was delicioso! :) And we look so good in red! :P
We made barbeque pizza, and Johannes looked like he was dead when he had fallen asleep on the sofa... Scared us...

And now it's 4 days left of school before we have a couple of days off and then set of to the vast land of Australia. Can't really believe the day is almost here!

Preparations in process

I've started planning what to pack, like what to put in the cabin luggage and what to put in my big backpack (I decided to go with backpack, not suitcase). As the flight is 14 hours long, I figure I might need some stuff along the way, so my bag's probably gonna be stuffed with makeup, magazines, books, a blanket, painkillers and of course; anti-bacterial cleansing gel. Cause I don't wanna catch the swine flu! Grusome.

So I've three lists; one for my handbag, one for my cute cabin-sized suitcase (I'm planning to squeeze as much as I can into that one, to avoid my backpack from weighing too much. Haha, SAS! I found a way around :D:D) and one for my backpack.

And now we're starting two weeks of "preparation studies" here in Norway. I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the students who are going!
